In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this fungus is considered a true superfood. The Chinese call it the 'king of mushrooms.' In Siberia, Chaga is referred to as 'God's gift,' and in Japan, it's 'the diamond of the forest.' This is not without reason: the mushroom is praised for its healing properties. Russian folk medicine has used Chaga tea since the Middle Ages to treat viral and bacterial infections. One of the most well-known properties of this fungus is its ability to strengthen your resistance to the point where you are less susceptible to diseases.*

The mushrooms for our extract are gathered in wild forests in Latvia. Chaga is full of essential vitamins and minerals. It has an incredibly high ORAC value compared to other types of plants, vegetables, and fruits, meaning it contains the highest number of antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect our cells from the harmful effects of free radicals. They can support the immune system so that we are less prone to diseases, help prevent (cellular) aging, and have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Furthermore, research has shown that Chaga can suppress the development of malignant cells.*

All mushroom extracts are developed and produced by SHYFT in small batches. They contain only wild mushrooms, directly harvested from nature. Wild mushrooms are highly resilient and adapt well because they have overcome significant obstacles before reaching maturity; they have survived extreme weather conditions, viruses, and bacteria, escaping destruction or consumption by animals. This results in an optimally developed defense mechanism. Therefore, wild mushrooms are almost always more potent than their cultivated counterparts.
